Closed on Third Site
Over the summer we successfully closed on our third site. The sale was subject to a forestry license which took significantly longer than initially expected. We are expecting to plant on this site in early 2025.
‘Sale Agreed’ on Fourth Site
We are pleased to let you know that we have recently gone ‘Sale Agreed’ on a 25.5 acre site at Ardmoyle, Co.Roscommon. The purchase price was agreed at €160,000 and this our fourth site.
This latest purchase (subject to the granting of a Forestry Licence) provides our Co-Op with the opportunity to plant over 25,000 native trees on the site and represents a gross return from Government Grant premiums of 5.90%.
We expect the forestry license to take between 9 -18 months to come through. During this time, we are looking to raise an additional €160,000 to cover the costs associated with the purchase.
